"Using options to give students options"
Having a "Studio Mindset" will be a large part of the learning environment and culture for students in StudioXP. As the word "Studio" indicates, students will learn to view whatever spaces they're learning in as avenues for innovation and also learn how to access specific tools, resources, and community networks they need to help them create high level products that they are proud of and that they can share.
Core routines of the learning process will reflect the design cycle with a strong emphasis on how to give and receive feedback and make meaningful reflections. Students' learning will be made visible throughout the process of their work as well as with showcases that are open to the public.
Projects and deliverables will highlight students' growth in their 21st century learning skills such as media literacy, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
